Japanese Particle

Japanese Particle (Basic)
May Tagalog particle din naman tayo na tinatawag nating Tagalog Enclitic at hindi ko alam kung anong tawag ng mga Hapon sa ginagamit nilang particle. But, anyway, heto na sila:


Topic marker.
Wa (は)
Watashi no namae wa Kenji desu.
My name is Kenji.
Note: は (ha) ang ginagamit at binibigkas na 'wa' hindi わ (wa)


Subject marker.
Ga (が)
Watashi wa chokoreto ga suki desu.
I like chocolates.


Direct object marker.
Wo (を)
Note: Ito ay binibigkas na 'o' as in 'o' sa 'dog' hindi 'wo' as in 'wolf'
Kenji wa denwa o mite imasu.
Kenji is looking at the telephone.


Possesion, apposition, noun modification.
No (の)
Tomodachi no namae wa nan desu ka.
What’s your friend’s name?


Indirect object, location, direction, specific time.
Ni (に)
Kenji san wa Tokyo ni imasu.
Kenji is ni Tokyo.

Ginagamit din ito sa oras:
Gogo juji ni.
At 10 p.m.


Place of action, means, total, material.
De (で)
Watashi wa honya de hon o sansatsu kaimashita.
I brought three books at the bookstore.


Direction.
E (へ)
Note: Ang へ sa Japanese Kana (pareho sa Hiragana at Katakana) ay 'he' pero binibigkas ito bilang 'e'
Nihon e ikimasu ka.
Are you going to Japan?


Target time.
Made (まで)
Honya wa juji made desu.
The bookstore closes at 10 o’clock.


Confirmation.
Ne (ね)
Sachie san desu ne.
Your name is Ms. Sachie, aren’t you?


Also, both... and, neither... nor
Mo (も)
Kora mo wain mo nomimasu.
I drink both cola and wine.


Emphasis.
Yo (よ)
Gakusei desu yo.
So you’re a student!


Simultaneous action.
Nagara (ながら)
Aruki naraga, modai ni tsuite kangaemashita.


Listing, involvement.
To (と)
Sono gakusei wa pen to enpitsu o motte imasu.
That student has a pen and pencil.


Partial listing (and)
Ya (や)
Watashi-tachi wa Kyoto ya Osaka e ikimashita.
We went to Kyoto, Osaka, etc.


But...
Ga (が)
Suzuki san wa kimasu ga, Murakami san wa kimasen.
Mr. Suzuki is coming, but Mr. Murakami isn’t.


Enumeration.
Ka (か)
Sake ka kora ikaga desu ka.
How about sake or cola?


Question marker.
Ka (か)
O namae wa nan to iimasu ka.
What is your name?


Reason.
Kara (から)
Isogashii kara, eiga ni ikimasen deshita.
Because I was busy, I didn’t go to the movie.



Bakit ko sinasabi ang mga ito? Wala lang. Na-miss ko lang mag-aral ulit ng Japanese Language. Anyway, thank you pala kay kuya Kaito sa pagbigay sa akin ng class note lesson para matuto ^_^
